Football Star Aaron Ramsey Ups Bounty for Lost Dog in Mexico to £15k
Welsh soccer player Ramsey has increased the reward for details about his lost dog named Halo to $$20k.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff midfielder, who currently is with Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, revealed that the beagle was last seen in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato state area.
Halo, who vanished on October 9th, was equipped with a GPS collar, and the footballer shared a map pinpoint of where she was last seen.
"Any sort of information concerning our pet Halo kindly get in touch with us. Substantial bounty for reuniting with her. We are all praying she is unharmed and comes home with us soon," the athlete shared on Instagram.
Earlier Bounty and Emotional Pleas
Ramsey initially announced that Halo had gone missing a fortnight back and has since posted multiple photos of the beloved dog on his social media account.
A $10,000 reward was initially announced, but with no news on the dog's whereabouts after a seven days, Ramsey and his family doubled the sum.
"Our only wish is our girl returned," he expressed in a further plea on social media after the decade-old pet disappeared.
The latest image share is a black and white image of Halo napping, her head resting in the curve of the athlete's arm, with the caption: "How I wish to cuddle you once more sweet Halo."
Family's Concerns and Background
The footballer has also shared a message from his spouse Colleen on online channels saying they have several "serious queries" regarding the disappearance and fear the family "may never obtain clarity".
"To this day we haven't found Halo. I fear we will," the spouse's update expressed.
The Welsh captain joined Mexico's first division team Club Universidad Nacional recently and had his debut in Liga MX in the eighth month.
Born in Caerphilly athlete is the first well-known British Isles player to compete in the Mexico's top division.
