Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering near a popular coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the chopper commencing to spiral near the shoreline then plunging near the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

The department said the chopper was connected to an annual “Cars with Copters” fundraising event set for Sunday.
